So today in world news 132 children and nine teachers were murderd today by the taliban just because these poor youngsters wanted a right to prove themselve in the world, with a proper eduction which is there proper right as human been.
Now there lives have been taken for the sake of religion shocking very sad to read.
When will all this end. |

The Koran actually preaches peace. Islam is a very much about peace and charity. Unfortunately its also extremely open to interpretation. Its sad to see it perverted for violence and power. If there is an afterlife I hope the people that use Islam as a reason for violence are tortured there. Just my two cents |

I was given a copy a few years back..i opened it up on a random page...what i read wasnt endeering . It spoke about killing anyone who doesn't believe etc....maybe the rest preached peace and harmony but the piece i stumbled along was spine chilling relevant to the dogma these radicals nuts live by. Its impossible to over throw a ideology . These guys are stalwarts of their religion. They ain't good anbasdoors for their faith |

Poverty has a lot to do with it I have seen at first hand as I lived in Pakistan what happens the poor of the poor do not get to school so go to reglious taught schools run by these nut jobs and ppl are then brain washed into believing they are doing right by killing others until poverty is tackled im afraid Pakistan is a big breeding ground for more innocent lives to be killed . |

Sadly its next to impossible to fight a war with a people who see their own death as the ultimate honour. . A reminder of the huge human cost required to defeat this mindset can only be seen from the results of the nuclear bombings of japan in WW2. . Their God is fine but someof their interpretation of their religion is wrong. . And to quote Ghandi " I like your Christ. . I do not like your Christians". . . Large scale extremism is not easily changed or defeated. . |

This is a terrible story, I know that the taliban don't want girls to go to school and don't want them getting education. Some schools bend the rules and teach girls. Maybe this is the motive behind these murders but whatever it is it's atrocious |

Children die every day.....that's a fact...car accidents illness and even murder . Its tragic and your rite most isn't worthy to make headlines due to some other inconsequential celebrity or sport drivel. But you cant down play or compare this orchestrated act of evil on children. Reports coming back of a toddler being shot and a teacher being set on fire. This evil mindset is a odious residue from darker times in history and has no place today. No right functioning adult would pull a trigger on a child. Its right we don't understand the higher issue of these people but one thing i do understand is no child deserves to be murdered . |

a very brave girl who won the nobel prize called malala yousafzai who was shot by the taliban in pakistan 2012, cause she refused to give into there harsh ways and fought for womens rights against oppresion and the right to education. The taliban motives were that she had forged a pact with the western evil forces.
Mala Quoted
I condenm these atricious and cowardly actsand stand untied with the goverment and armed forces of pakistan whose efforts so far to address this horrific event are commendable.
What a brave young lady.

Saw it on the news tonight. Terrible stuff - bad ignorant people using the excuse of religion as way of terrorising and control.
Normally against war - but not in this case against those bastards - and add in those bocum harum *uckers in Nigeria as well. |

The Koran is allegedly the true word of god as spoken directly to Mohammed . He didn't write it down merely recited to a group of scribes who were there with him on the mountain too. Many years later Mohammed himself decided to write his own interpretation of the Koran these are known as the sunnahs and hadiths. Hence Sunni Muslims and sheir Muslims. If all Muslims followed the Koran then it would mean a peaceful coexistence as it teaches to respect women all other religions etc etc it even recognises Jesus not as the son of god or Allah as they know him but as the last prophet. However the radicals use the sunnahs and hadiths as these volumes are open to interpreting in their own way . Currently there are approx 1.2 billion Muslims in the world of this 1.2 billion 200 million have extremist view ie death to all non believers. That is roughly the population of the whole of North America !!! Another fact that is quite alarming was that last year the most popular boys name in uk was Mohammed! So within the next 20 or so years most of Europe could be a Muslim majority. Being a non believer could be very bad! All this without firing a shot!! That's my 2 cents on the subject! |

Not having a go Smiffy but can you tell us where you got these "facts"? There's no way I believe the most popular boys name in the UK in 2013 was Mohammed. America itself has at least 300 million people living there. |

The list was published in the daily telegraph candy store Mohammed most popular boys name jumping 27 places to knock Oliver off top spot and Sophie no1 girls name. Mohammed traditionally given to first born son of a Muslim family . As with anything there is good and bad and as I said I lived in Saudi for a number of years and the vast majority I met and worked with were the loveliest nicest kindest people I have had the honour of knowing. I'm not anti Muslim or wanting to start up a new crusade or anything was just putting out there some bits and pieces I know to add to the debate |

"Very sad . Religion is the root of all this evil, different groups fighting over who has the best fantasy superhero "
Have to agree religion have been used for centeries to justify apalaqing wars and the killing of inocent people just because if their beliefs, it's great to have some faith but when it can be twisted to justify such horrific acts it has no place in socaity !!! |
