Had a conversation wit a guy today topic came up abt the coil said i had one then he asks me why do i go bare back i said no always make the guys wear condoms but i still get a twice yr check up so what im trying to say do guys think cause they use condoms they dont need a check up .Well i for one get mine done  |

we always use condoms ,no exceptions ever but still get checked regularly,they are not 100% safe.

So many diseases can be passed with skin to skin contact it doesn't always have to be fluid also oral sex is a major factor in passing diseases to another. I go every 3-4 months because I'm a bit ocd when it comes to my sexual health and I never hide the fact that I go.a lot of people on here say they are "clean" but never get checked well how the hell would ya know ur clean. Never be embarrassed to protect yourself...go get checked.

My sex drive went up after removing the coil-also I found that I and my partner could still feel the strings during sex, even with the strings cut a few times-and TBH I wouldn't trust that the blunt end of the strings wouldn't pierce the condom. |

Guide clinic at St James does it for free, but opening hours are VERY restricted.
Also for free but haven't been there are Dublin AIDS Alliance (DAA), 53 Parnell Square West, Dublin 1;
Mater Misercordiae Hospital, Infectious Diseases Unit, Eccles Street, Dub 7
For paid test Cathal Brugha Street Clinic in D1 is very efficient
I know the Dame Street clinic does them as well but never done them there

I don't like getting this done by my GP. I find them even clumsy when doing the smear test... they don't deal with this regularly enough to make me feel comfortable. I rather get it done by someone who's doing it all the time.

St. James's hospital will give you the tests for free. Incl HIV if you request it. "
Monaghan hosp covers the Meath area too.its free and covers HIV aids syphilis hep c and herpes which a lot of clinics don't do and its free.that's where I go. |

This is a very interesting topic and glad it's being discussed, too many people have pics up with no protection (not all are couples).
I have been tested a few times just to be sure and healthy and clean, and got the all clear lol
But it was said to me if you look for life assurances on of the questions is have u ever been tested for HIV or aids and if you your premium is effected. How daft is that . |

I always use protection... penis seems to be ok..not fallen off yet..yet.. but its good to be checked.

The private hospital on the cork rd does it but yes everyone regardless of using protection should get a check up |

In my clinic in the North when you tell them your a swinger they like you to come in every 3 months, for the full works. They are very nice also. If you feel there is any need to see them before the 3 months they will see you also. What people forget about all to often is a lot off the most common STI's are passed on by giving oral. |

I carry my own condoms, get checked several times a year! STI's can be symptomless so only sure way to know..... It is very unsettling to discover how clueless some people are  |
