1. Tap water isn't safe to drink it's so badly contaminated
2. If you end up conserving water which is why they set it up you will still have to pay the same
3. We pay for it in our taxes
4. Irish Water has been earmarked to go private in a few years with means price will. Go up
5. Sierra the company who are doing the installation were only set up in July when the Tender offers were closed in May
6. Govt. manufactured the figures it will bring in to get EU authorisation and tax relief for them
7. Taking our PPS numbers which is breaking Data protection Laws
I could go on but so much more I could rant about. Payment is not the issue it's the government taking advantage of the people |

Our tap water is perfect.i agree we are being screwed but iv a friend working on installations of meters and his life has bein threatened on several occasions just for doing the job he is being paid to do. Its a wank of a job but some ignorant people are making it unbearable for him and his crew.its not the installers who should be taking the rap for it. |

Living in the sticks we had to get our own well....would love to be on a scheme....if our well gets contaminated we have to sort it....well goes dry we sort...pump goes we buy a new one....plus we use electricity to run said pump....we also pay tax, u.s.c. same as everyone else....would gladly pay 180 euro a year to hand the responsibility to someone else |

I am in the same position as u but I can see that this service has being available for years played for by our taxes, yes I'd love a mains supply but I chose to live off grid so I have to accept the good and the bad that go with that. When they privatized the rubbish collection I was the same but as it was done in a different manner ie county by county it did not have the same impact we alread pay for it so why pay a second time |
