the poor guy had no luck at all two weeks before that when we had a meet set up he fell and broke his knee and was in hospital in agony and could not meet me
foolish me decide to give him one more chance ....

We have had a few late cancellations but most have been genuine but got the "no parking space " pmsl one recently
Doesn't bother us that much because we still enjoy our own company and like you say "we do like to shag our own brains off" |

Yes it's not good enough. .
Even if it's a genuine excuse you get from the other party. It would still turn me off meeting them in future. (Unless I've met them before and know they're genuine) |

Thats such bad form....occassionally things can go wrong and you cant meet...but be honest and if your nerves got the better of you, its best to be upfront and say that  |
