I actually enjoy my job. Not the most glamorous but my supervisor is giving me more responsibility, company has agreed to support me studying next year and the people I work with are mostly good craic. Only downside is the hours are a nightmare but can live with that |

I think there is allways a trade between lifestyle and work but if it's what you love to do then everyone wins. |

If you over price a job by double because you don't want it, the quote is accepted, now your making money!!! |

My job is ok, but can be stressful. Hours are a nightmare. But I love my colleagues. They're mostly male. We have a great laugh at work full of sexual innuendos. They even managed to make me blush a few times!! |

lol mick I know exactly what you mean It a much nicer feeling than realising you've underpriced it and your going to be working for half nothing
I was self employed in the construction industry and loved the diversity of the work , I'm now employed in a different line of work but still meet different people every day , I'm out and about and every day is different and I actualy like what I do
It's so much easier when all you have to do is get the job done and your money is in the bank every week , not to
mention Holliday pay etc |

Some of the people I work with are by far the most trustworthy and professional people, there is allways a bit of flirting with a girl in the office too !!! If you Finnish your day happy it helps. |

In a previous life I got the boss's wife ass and it was worth every penny he owed me... I honestly fancied her too so that helps... |

Only advice I can give is get a good CV together use your imagination on that, when you get an interview be confident and sell yourself to the company. Happy hunting... |

My teacher allways told me not to be looking out the window, was she wrong , I look out of a window every day of the week and get paid for it... |

There are the up's and down's to every job but I enjoy flight delays in exotic countries. Mainly it's just airports and hotels that look the same. |

My job is nice and easy so in a way, boring. Although with christmas on the horizon and late night shopping, I may aswel start moving into the place. Let's face it, it's all about money! You can really only love your job, I think, if you would still be happy doing it for free. My initial dream is out the window, so what I would really love to do now, which would be possible if I had the know how, would be to start my own business painting murals and feature walls! |

Just not having a baldies how to get up and running! What to charge? Do I request they paint the base coat first? Do I charge extra if I have to do it? If so, how much? How can I really be sure of having a steady income from it in order to leave work?

Do you know that in your last two posts you just demonstrated you have the four prime base skills required to run your own business?
You have a nice balanced view of: 1. Offering a quality product, 2. via a well considered caring service, 3. generating an appropriate fee from it, and finally 4. making a profit over a particular period of time. |
