If someone contacted you here for a possible meet and you recognised them?
This happened me a couple of nights ago with a Galway couple (new)
In mail I was saying i don't send face to new profiles first (esp galway) due to my line of work id have a well known face lol etc and sure boom when they sent their face I knew/recognised them ... would you:
•Tell them who you are
•Delete and move on
•Tell them you known them but don't reveal your identity?
I told them who I was (it was only fair)
We met for few drinks last night and HAD A BLAST
We won't play, which is cool! |

Interesting dilema.
I think some people might freak out, however transparency might be the best. After all, there is nothing wrong in being naughty in mind. I guess, the issue for many would be that the non lifestyle people knew what they are doing behind the closed door (or open door sometimes...), however knowing that other lifestyle fully verified and normal folks know about them, should not be an issue for most.
In my own case, if I knew the people and would think they are OK (nice, respectful, etc), I would reveal myself. In case, I wouldn't trust them, I would't show my face. Of course their secret would be safe with me and I would delete the photos received. |

In my case:
I gave them my number- they text and I could see previous texts (work related ones from before) and nearly died lol
This is why a second 'fab' phone is important
I thought they copped who I was due to mail history in phone texts from before but they'd obviously deleted so I was obliged to tell them as we get on fairly well anyway.
It's the right thing to do! |

A 'fab, or play phone' is paramount. You gotta have a separate number...

"I would say hello, cause they can see my face before they message me.
But I don't have a high powered job where i need to be a pussy online."
Congrats mate. I have never been a soft and a cuddly cat online... Good thing to consider for the future... lol
You have an attitude pal.

I would not tell them that I know them. I would say thanks but no thanks. I might think I could trust them but some people are just not as nice as I am, so I would never tell them who I am.
CC, don't go there, you'll put yourself in a really vulnerable position if you reveal yourself to him. Just my 2 cents. |

Similar thing happened to me just not online. I had engaged in a bit of anonymous dogging with a couple 3 or 4 times. Just to explain it started when they pulled up next to my car and started shagging. They never put on the internal lights and she was always on top so I could not identify either of them. They just had a good time and left. Anyway to cut a long story short I found out it was a colleague when I saw him arriving into work in the car.
I never said anything to him and still don'the know if he knows it was me |

but at least I put my face behind my attitude, buddy.

It ain't reason enough to not to be nice to other people here. You never know the reasons why people do not show their faces in their profiles.

This actually reminds me of a story I read in the papers. It was an interview with a girl who was working as an escorts while in college. She went to answer the door to a client looked through the keyhole and saw the parish priest from her hometown |

We had a similar situation, we didn't know them well but galway is a small place and we know of them so we agreed we didn't want to go there, we were honest and polite but it wasn't revived well.
I think in this situation you can never be sure of how it will end so if your concerned that it will have a negative effect then go with your gut and say thanks but no thanks |
