Looking for some first hand information on the dialysis procedure and prep etc rather than the Internet .... Any insightful information would be very much appreciated |

Don't want to cause offence, but would a medical professional not be better to give advice? "
Medical professionals tell you half the story and I have had dealing in the past were I was told by a medial professional that I didn't need to know the details .... Just wondering if anyone on here had personal experience of it either a family member etc |

"Whoever told you that you didn't need to know the details sounds unusually callous for a health professional. My experience is a lot different and my advice would be to speak to someone else."
Guess that's the difference between the nhs and the hse ... The hse like to put a plaster on a broken leg just so it shows they didn't completely neglect one... She was a rude renal nurse.. |

my father was on dialysis. there are two types from what I can remember the one where u go to the hospital and get hooked up a big machine the other is the type my dad was on it involves a bag in u stomach andva smaller portable machine at home.
