Not a good morning for me freddie2 the the goldfish passed away lastnite had to have a toilet funeral this morning.I gave him a good send of with andrex toilet paper me not happy.  |

Only awake went to bed at 6am.. Because i was watching a shed full of rams... because of people pretending to be lamping but really just checking peoples fields to figure out what to rustle..   |

well lamping as I know it is basically hunting at night with the use of high powered lamps normally for rabbits or foxes but some people will lamp deer too.
thats a very basic explanation of it |

It's a method of hunting animals predominantly rabbits and hare but other wildlife have become victim too. A lamp and dogs are used to catch the prey and sometimes a ferrit is used to entice to animals from the habitats. was it not made illegal in recent years? |

round here lamping is used to protect newborn lambs from foxes in the spring...
Not this time of year hence why the whole area is suspicious about last nights "Lampers", Pretty sure its legal during hunting season (Which is now)

I don't think there's a season for foxes though. They're not protected. Lamping is questionable in terms of legality as you can't shoot legally from the road and you can't legally use a vehicle for hunting. I had a neighbour who was big into it but I always thought it was awful. I was never convinced that the foxes were that big a problem tbh. |

when i used to hunt foxes foxes many moons ago i would shoot them right through the winter and not shoot them in the spring as i didnt want to leave orphan fox cubs |
