I know how you feel as I joined a gym recently and foolishly went with my daughter and proved to here I could do the same workout that she could.....omg I could not move for days.
By the way, are you better going back the next day and working through the pain or waiting till pain leaves then start all over again?  |

Hailing from the more 'rural' part of the country, my youthful naivety always caused alarm bells to ring when I heard 'buff' gentlemen discussing "pumping Aaron".
Who is this poor fella getting such a regular pummeling by these muscular guys, I thought, until moving to the 'big smoke' of Belfast and joining a gym where iron free-weights and cardio 'machines' replaced shifting hay bales and tipping cows- it all became clear, and poor Aaron was off the hook!
My respect to the OP, getting back into the gym after a break is difficult. As for your PT, all I can say is lucky lucky man!

the girls who are the sexiest in the gym are the ones who are all sweaty and no makeup. they are the ones working hard and are reaping the benefits because the look great.
dont worry about anyone else.
the ones all makeup'd up and going through the motions just look silly/lazy.
as for personal trainers, the ones who are making you work hard are the ones to stick with, the ones who just want to be your friend and have a chat are not going to get you anywhere |
