I know many people come on here to get away from their everyday lives as such however tomorrow Friday October 10th is world mental health day.... There's lots of things happening countrywide within mental health services and general communities to promote speaking up about mental health problems, educating about available services and also attempting to reduce some stigma.

I know everyone has been affected by mental health issues in some shape or form, whether that be personally, within families or our friends and it'd be great to see as many people as possible getting involved in this day where possible

It's a really good cause and I know lots of organisations are doing their own events, mental health ireland have a list of theirs as well as a txt number to donate to them on their website. But it's not just them holding events the mental health services themselves are doing it purely to raise awareness and reduce stigma but the voluntary services are doing that as well as raising money!

So if you guys have some time and see or hear of an event in your area drop in

Well said! I worked in the mental health sector for a few years and it's an area that desperately needs positive promotion and a change in attitudes towards mental health issues
