What is the definition of a time waster . You see so many status updates about them and so many forums about them . In the length of time we have been on here I can say we only had one that we would consider a time waster . I wonder are people classed a time waster because they decide that they won't meet someone for any number of reasons . Age looks etc |

I dont i think someone who just plays the game and doesnt bother there hole in turning up or just pulls out at the last min and u never hear from them again. |

For me it was chatting to someone for two weeks everything going well sparks where there
decide to meet for coffee on the morning of the meet got a txt to cancel . I was annoyed but decide to give another chance
chatted again for another few days again set a day for another coffee meet
a hour before due to meet again a txt to cancel !!!
that's a time waster

I had something the same with one guy who i met before .. every weekend he ll tex to meet and than 1 hr before meet he ll not replay on tex ..mob ph ll be off .. than after a few days he ll try to arrange meet agene .may be an idia about meet turns him on ha ha ..i dont now !  |

A waster of peoples time by arranging meets then just vanishing coming back a week later with sorry but, and do you want to arrange an other, deliberate fuck about. loads of genuine reasons for no show but a genuine will let you know |

Arranged to meet with a couple for coffee . Sent a txt to say I was there. Got a txt back to say , he was there but wife had gone shopping and wasn't there.
I decided not to meet, told him and headed off.
He called me a timewaster and blocked me.
Afterwards I thought maybe I should have met him as they may have been genuine. At the time - I just thought - gay guy taking the piss!
In any case I don't think that was me being a timewaster !!  |

I've been called a timewaster too. I lost my nerve and cancelled with over 4hrs notice. That's (I'm told) unacceptable and I shouldn't be on FAB. Got named and shamed on status for my "not on" behaviour.  |

So after two weeks we well and truly got to know one another and they asked us to Dublin for meet! We from galway got train up paid for hotel for the night costing travel food hotel the guts of €250! They never showed up at arranged meeting place, never replied to our txt only after I realized the veris were almost two years old! They are still on hear fairly regular just wish we could name and shame! So weeks of excessive txt arranging a meet, not showing up, not replying to txt, absolutely no contact since, they were the ones pushing for the meet not us and to top it of €250 out of pocket complete wasted and I forgot wife took the day of work unpaid so another €70! So ya I think that constitutes as a timewasters! |

this is the exact reason we always do a coffee meet first, no matter what the distance caus that way ur only down the fuel money also would never take a day off work for fun, if they want to meet ye that bad they would meet ye on a day ye were all free. but some people in here can be real assholes and dont give a dam about other people

dublin too far for coffee meet! Seriously we get mails from timewasters but if you read the texts for two weeks complete genuine girlie chats with my wife you would have thought they genuine too! As with all our meets coffee or normal no gaurrantee of sex if chemistry isn't there so it's basic the same as coffe meet!
As it happens I even asked if everthing was alright and we could meet for a coffe before we go home neithless to say no answer to that either! So if it was a coffe meet and they no shoe still over €60 petrol cost not to mention food! |

We've had to cancel one for tonight as Freddie has done his back in pretty sure he would have been grand tied up on his back but I'd want the most out of him problem being that the last time we arranged for naughty fun, mother nature got in the way! Still all had a good night of banter, but timing's aren't on our side with this one it seems!!!!

Jeez that's horrible, I just don't get stories like this (I'm not saying they don't happen), what do people get out of the whole chatting in the lead up and then not following through with it. Just seems like a complete waste of time for everyone involved not to mention leaving you out of pocket. |

Although if it was me I would have regardless ,sometimes things happen that are out of your control. Personally I've never cancelled even a coffee meet unless there was a really good reason and I have never failed to let the person know. . It's just good manners and courtesy.it is also a good reason for coffee meets esp if distance involved...

All the texts we sent were really understanding and nice as we genuinely thought the same something came up to this day we still have not sent an angry txt so they had no reason whatsoever to feel embarrassed we gave then plenty of chances to mail us back with an excuse either genuine excuse or fake, still not a word ever from them!

Think most people have had to cancel at sometime or another , I know we have as sometimes things happen that we can't control but we could never do what they did to anyone , A quick text to say sorry we can't make it is all it takes now matter what the situation . |

My definition is similar. Texting .. Chatting on the phone and on kik , exchanged face pics for about 2 weeks.
Drove to Derry and booked a hotel room mid week. When I tried to contact them ..... No answer on phone no messages no kik. Was fuming.
But on the bright side I went out in Derry and hooked up with a girl in The Metro 
Was late for work the next day. But all worked out ok |

We had a couple message us for ages then asked us to meet up. We agreed but on day of meet the guy said he was from same place as me and I might know him so cancelled. WTF? Another couple wanted us to meet and again cancelled on the day, arranged another meet then cancelled that too then had a cheek to try to arrange a 3rd time. Those people are who we call time wasters. |
