A question for the lads, is re growth of hair as itchy after waxing compared to shaving.
I'm partial to a mac3 turbo job myself as Iv been put off after a bad waxing expierence in the past(trainee ex girlfriend beautician) but I think I'm ready to try again.
What's yer opinion? |

Can't speak for me but as a lady no you don't get that itchy regrowth and every time you get waxed less grows back and its much finer everytime. Worth bearing with the first few times. . Take s couple of paracetamol half an hour before |

It's the re growing itch that drives me mad, can't spend the day scratching down there in my line of work. If it's not as bad I'll give it a go so.
Paracetamol, a mate of mine uses an anaesthetic cream to numb it before he gets his done. |

good idea.. After the first few it really doesn't hurt much as so little grows back eventually |

Can it be a DIY job or would I have to go to a salon? I live in west cork and It would be in the local news letter before I even leave the door
I could always get it done in the city on my lunch break. |

I would go to a salon and get it done. .. It's really hard to do yourself..I can do a touch up myself if needs be now as there is so little.. But it's never as good.. Let the professionals do it ! |

Christ, I had it done once as the itch and in grown hairs look even worse than the hair, so figured I'd get waxed... skin peeled and everything after and still itched... was told it was because i had "sensitive skin" never went back. I now use an electric shaver, not as close as a blade but prevents the horrible regrowth problems. |

Only itched for the first week or so. No problem since, would'nt know it was not there now, the hair that is.
Trouble with shaving you typically have to shave once a week at least.
