Mr69: 'Britpop' may have had it's roots in the indie camp but it was mainstream not indie.

True! But the indie definition of 'released under an independent label' had disappeared by then I think. I think the definition was changing to a music type. Perhaps we could say that Brit pop was 'indie'-pop. Some great and atrocious Brit pop releases. Ah yes... Louise from sleeper thanks for the happy dreams......

I always preferred Blur, Liam Gallagher gets on my tits.

There was only one 'side' to that media fuelled 'war' and that was the 'side' that weren't winey feckers, could write excellently arranged and sang indie pop tunes and that could actually perform well live

Although I saw High Flying Birds last year and he didn't irritate me as much.

Indie's good too. I got into that in the noughties. Oasis or Blur? Blur and Damon Albarn is far better musician than the 2 Gallagher's put together

A Guy Called Gerald - Voodoo Ray

The Source - You've got the love

The Beloved - The Sun Rising

The Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds

Stone Roses -Fools Gold

SL2 - On A Ragga Tip

Some great tunes, too many to mention. I remember the folks saying they thought some of it was shiiite. As for the psychedelics they sad we'd ripped them off as they had been there and got the t-shirt way back when Great times
