She is going to meet random people. They are not people she knows, people she has talked to, they are random people who happen to turn up.
A cam veri would be better in my opinion as a meet veri implies they are trustworthy.
Also, I verified someone and they got sent a load of abuse about me, ther are so many creeps on here. If you verifiy a load without knowing them the chances are you will verify someone untrustworthy, like a thief, or someone who blackmails etc.
Although it seems par for the course for them type of people to have verifications anyway, so I dunno what Im talking about anymore. I just wouldnt do it myself. |

She is going to meet random people. They are not people she knows, people she has talked to, they are random people who happen to turn up.
A cam veri would be better in my opinion as a meet veri implies they are trustworthy.

I think you have raised a very important issue. I am sure Mel is aware of this and will be very specific about the nature of their meeting and that it was only a coffee and she will verify they exist and they are who they are (men), nothing else. So the reader of the verification will know how the verification was secured. If the verification gets not published than it is up to the potential meeting partner to ask to see the verification and decide for themselves. I do not think the verifications verify anything more to what the verbiage includes. |

Thank you for your concern. Guys here often say it's difficult to get the first meet because they are not verified so I'm offering a first meet that's all nothing else. If they show up and we chat and get on I will state this in a veri. I don't sugar coat anything nor look or need a veri., so I guess it's unusual to be seen doing something nice.

I think its a nice thing to do Mel. You don't strike me as anybodys fool and know how to keep yourself safe....
It's hard to get that first veri and I have done the same with people if I have been talking to the for a while .. After all It's only meeting for coffee and verifying simply that they turned up( and didn't appear to be carrying an axe!)..... Not saying they are anything else . .... That is simply what a social meet is.  |
