My Gran was one of those old women who used the old ways to heal people,plants roots ect,she died when I was 21 but I remember so much of what she thought me,but still wish I learned more,so I like to read about old remedies,healing plants ect..just got back into it a yr ago |

is what used to happen when adoption wasn't so formalised. My grandfather was maybe I'mfrimt wicklow but he was an extra mouth to feed so he was sold to a couple up here who couldn't have children. My nanny wad the result if a liason been a gp and his housemaid. .. so she was sold to a family to save family name. My dad was adopted (for 2/6) by a family who had four girls and desperately wanted a boy. I know who his birth mother was but his dad was an American gi..... It wasn't a bad thing just common practice up here anyway in those days |

A tea bag was always the old way, although madern medicine says tea is acidic and shouldnt be used(BS),and lie down rest a very cold towel cloth on your eyes.. |
