First of all I have no experience in organising a meet and greet so I don't know if this would work, it's just an idea 
Could you reserve a section in a pub for one as opposed to a hotel? So obviously it would just be a drinks and chat and if people want to hook up they can go back to their hotels? I assume most people who go to an m&g in a hotel don't actually stay there.
I have never been to one so I haven't a clue

Really? I've seen forum posts where people have said they can't book hotel cos the venue was kept under wraps and was then fully booked  |

I think if the pub has a big funiction room i would u can have a meet and great there but have a few hotels close as walking distince tothe meet and great from the hotels to the pub or bar ur having it at |
