The annoyance that is distance has reared it's ugly head tonight
I've travelled to the North several times and a few cross country treks to meet friends but...
What's the furthest you have travelled or would travel for a meet off Fab? |

I used to travel 200km to a couple. It was a 2 hour drive.
I also used to fly to manchester and then get train to sheffield to meet a girl. Thats probably 350km?
I don't have so much freedom anymore so now if its more than 20 mins away I think about it a lot. I go over the routes in google map etc, think about it some more, add up all the time it will take etc. I think I get a bit compulsive about it. The distance still wont put me off, but I calculate and plan now, in the past I would have just went. |

To the people who wont travel far, will you accept a meet from someone who travels far to you?
Like if cork was too far, would you still let someone from cork drive up? |

Could always meet half way if both parties are willing to travel that distance |

A girl travelled from France to meet me, it wasn't a swinger meet although it might as well have been.
I was okay with it because we had catted for so long.
For a swinger meet I would be uncomfortable with them travelling further than me for the first meet. Unless it was something like they were going to be in Dublin any way. But I'd be uncomfortable with someone travelling far to meet me.
Some people must really like it though, be the opposite of me, even get turned on by the person coming so far to meet.
Never really thought about it before. |

250 km is the furthest so far. Did 125 km as well and 81 km (twice). Soon, will do another 125 km.
All depends on the people I will meet with. If I feel strong attraction I will travel and make a weekend out of town out of it. |

"2 hrs twice... 1st meet was great...
2Nd time i drove that far the guy was a no show... "
But I would walk 500 miles and I would walk 500 more, just to be the man who walked 1000 miles, to fall down at your door |

I had a guy travel from Cork to meet me off a different site but we had been chatting for nearly 6 years online so I didn't feel uncomfortable with him travelling so far. It made sense at the time for him to come to me.
It's quite nerve wrecking someone else is doing the travelling though as there are expectations there that there may not be with a more local meet |
