We have only entertained at home once. Couple were from the UK and we love in the countryside so they stayed in our guest room.
For local meets would book hotel to be on the safeside. Did spend a night as a foursome in the old jury's hotel in Cork, all four in the same bed was sexy. They had that indoor/outdoor pool too which was amazing. |

Depends entirely on the circumstances.
Some people don't have spare room
Or someone is arriving to stay there the next day
Or kids arriving the next morning
Or nosy neighbours
Or unclean sheets
Or an early start the next day
..or maybe they don't dont trust/know you well enough

Personally for me i dont accomadate because my home is simply that home ... So unless the other person can its then hotel bookings which i have no problem with sharing the cost. |
