This was how tge North of Ireland was described In The Lounge. i took.exception to this as I believe.it insults the vast majority of decent folk living here.and ignores the hard work done by many.
Am I alone with this view? I am genuinely interested in what others forumites think. |

"Bandit Country" is usually the description given to a part of the border around South Armagh and not the whole of Northern Ireland. If anyone has described the entire north as that then they may need to go and learn how to use Google. |

I take exception to yours, I call it Northern Ireland, you call it the north of Ireland, people can call is what they like, but forever and always it will remain Northern Ireland |

Living in said area of the country I disagree!! I don't wear a balaclava or carry a sawn off shotgun in my shopping bag!! And I don't go around hijacking people! (Unless it's a very sexy guy )
There will always be bad people living amongst us in this world! If uneducated, ignorant people want to tar the whole country with one brush then let them! Cause you'll never change their mind!!
I for one love my wee country! Wether it's "The North of Ireland" or "Northern Ireland" doesn't matter Geographically! (Politically is a whole different matter yes!)
At times it's the inhabitants that are their own worst enemies!! (You can take that whatever way you like!)
Sun is shining and on a day like this there's no place like home! |

Only since the parliament in Westminster passed the Government of Ireland Act, 1920. Not forever. |
