If I hear one more mention of G B ( and I'm not talking Gay Byrne !! ) either on here or in the media I'll either block them or throw a brick through the telly !!!! Ffs , he's only a bleeding greedy ,average, run of the mill C & W singer !!!! Let s all get on with our lives n not be giving this guy so much publicity !!! |

i never liked garth brooks his singing is crap but its gas half the country going mad and really angry that he aint coming and angry at croker but yet the goverment and banks has ripped us apart and stole every penny they can get and there not as angry at them |

I couldn't agree more,the Govt at the time made a hasty decision in giving the bank guarantee and bailing out unsecured bondholders without all the relevant information while allowing themselves be intimidated by international finance houses and vested interests.The present Govt while making an effort, found that their hands were tied because the general population don't bother to find out about the workings of the ecomonic model which the Republic has adopted in the past.The fact that when those of us who bother to vote,did so against the Nice/Lisbon ratifications,we were told to have a rethink and vote the other way for stability,the dissenters were dumbed down and the vote went through.
While the European project has it's good points,the laws being passed daily must be scrutinised in detail,as the "bailout" should have been at the time.
Luke "Ming" Flanagan MEP tabled a very good question to the EU yesterday and I still haven't seen any of the Irish main parties support him.
As for Garth,he's not really my cup of tea but if others enjoy his music and show, that's fine by me but please don't over run tthe pub when I'm having a quiet pint.Ta very much.  |
