This is a once in a lifetime concert I think that this would never happen again and the money it would have brought dublin would have been massive. But to cancle all nights I think is a bit mad. |

"weren't they extra concerts anyway? while I understand that the fans are disappointed (not sure why but each to their own) why is he throwing a hissy fit now if he still gets 3 gigs which were what was originally planned? that fecking greedy???" Thats right but it seems that when he saw the other 2 concerts selling out I think he was gonna spend another whack of money on the "special effects " !! Hopefully he and everyone else will see sense and the whole 5 might still get the go ahead and from now on theres only a limited number allowed every year . If not, our image abroad is certainly a little tarnished !!

Just my opinion on whole thing. Apparently agreements had previously been made as to how many concerts could be held each year. The GAA and people in general interested in the concerts chose to ignore this hoping to steamroller over residents. This is in a way a victory for the small man as it stands. If they wanted money yes this is possibly not right but now it looks like public opinion again trying to steamroller over people again. As for statement about choosing between children well that seems a bit extreme. Do the extra concerts elsewhere. All or none is real throwing rattle out of cot attitude. Life is about compromise and respecting others rights. Fairplay to DCC for showing some balls pardon pun to GAA. |

"I think they mean his popularity is baffling.
I can see why he is,big sing along choruses
music for ppl who arent really into music"
Still nothing baffling in his popularity. People enjoy his music.
And your last line is a contradiction, judgemental and insulting. |

"How is it baffling? It seems pretty logical to me. People like his music so therefore want to see him in concert. Just like any other singer/artist/musician/performer. "

Plenty of artists I don't 'get' but it doesn't baffle me when people pay money to see them in concert. |

It's called 'country' music, take it out of the city to your people Garth, it's all about the $$$$$$$, he could go to Semple, Killarney, Castlebar or Cork but the extra travel & set up costs would come out of his end & diminish his returns. Mr Brooks & The GAA should have held off announcing extra dates until they had applied for permission. I do feel sorry for the people wanting to see him but should the local people have to suffer for their pleasure? No. |

I don't think so as well.
Either way its the people out of pocket now. Espically people who bought of someone else. Like we did and now we wont get our money back for the tickets. |

It's always the man in the street that get hammered.
One question why did the promotor advertise 5 concerts when no permission had been granted, sometimes people think they can steamroller over everything without regards to anything |
