Do people think coming back with a new profile and claiming to be new will in a way 'wash themselves clean'?

"Do people think coming back with a new profile and claiming to be new will in a way 'wash themselves clean'? "

I'd be guessing that that's a rhetorical question?

I'd doubt it tho depends what they have done on previous incarnations. Usernames change not really the person behind in most cases.

Depends why they left and whether it was under a cloud or not. Usually they don't change their attitude so the username change becomes pointless

I've been the same username for over 10 years, it suits me and my attitude and I've nothing to hide from do no need to change

Well this is my third user name but I've always said who I was when returning. I suppose I never did anything to feel the need to hide my previous identity.

I deleted my last profile in panic as I felt scared and intimidated by someone.

I opened a new profile after a few weeks and kept a low profile for a while and only told a few people that it was me.

Exactly this, some people leave and come back under a new name because they have been scared off by someone, or maybe cos they had a really bad meet and it freaked them out, lots of reasons people make a new profile.

Yeah I think exactly that no matter how many times I would change my username it's still me behind it. I don't think it's in any way a bad thing just some people have to for one reason or another. Think it's the ones that come back every two or three weeks go and abuse and insult people then delete and continually do that
