Hi all. Following on from the threads "Hand on Lads,I've got an idea" and "VerifiedProblems" I suggested that I would help to organise a coffee meet in Dublin.
What I am suggesting is a coffee meet in Dublin city centre on Friday the 6th June between 4.30pm and 7pm. This should allow people to drop in after work for a coffee and chat.
This is open to both verified members and people looking to be verified. The purpose is to facilitate new and existing members to meet in a relaxed way.
If anyone is interested in coming along please pm me. |

Hey Sean , where are all these Dublin Fabbers when u need them ??? Gone all shy or what ?? There are more from outside Dublin nearly, prepared to travel than are FROM Dublin !!!!! Come on guys, the more there are there , the better the crack and what better way of getting to meet prospective bedfellows !!!!!! Lol......... |

Unfortunately working, but if anyone is organising another social on a Sunday I'd be free to make it.. Or if I was to try arrange one for a Sunday in a few weeks would anyone be interested? |

Sorry you feel like thst but it is not a freefor all. There are limits to the numbers that can be catered for. At the end of the day the organiser has to hsvesome discretion. Having a rant at me and then expecting sn invite is not the best wsy to behsve

I understood it as just that! Drop in for a coffee after work on a friday! ....
I can understand males being limited on meet, greet and play evenings. ..but I would have assumed everyone was welcome at a no pressure coffee meet. Excuse my ignorance....and please count me out.
It may well turn into a cock fest as was joked about on here a few times... but perhaps making contacts and socially meeting others might allow some to decide if the lifestyle is for them or not.
Any other country has multiple swing locations. ..as far as I can make out, ireland has two...Limerick and Dublin.
I'm very new to all of this and very much finding my way. My rant wasn't personally directed at you sean, if it was I would have mailed you privately.
I thought the whole purpose was a casual drop in for coffee after work. .. I would have liked the opportunity to meet many of the people I have been chatting to!

So much I wanta say to this but ill leave it to Mr L. If you wanta meet the fella so much organise a bloody private meet. Sean ignore the crap. You're doing a great job. Numbers always have to be limited. As usual people complain when there's nothing to do and them tear the organisers apart when there is.

at the end of the day the organiser is the one that decides on the numbers of guy women and cpls at any given even be it a meet and greet or a party if people dont like it that dont have to go. the reason its not a free for all is discretion i have never in my 10 yeard of swinging seen a free for all meet and greet ive hosted a few m&g's and parties and u have to control numbers. it takes a lot of time and effort to oranise things on here and you will never make everybody happy .
so sean ignore the negative people its your event and u can run it anyway you want and thanks for organising it.

my tip to Sean is though to expect a high number of no shows. From my own experience - and I'm sorry if single males get offended now - 50% of them won't show up. |
