Have only been to a few - best one was P!nk in Kings Hall a few years ago - she would soooo turn me bi! She's one hot missus. Took my sister-in-law to see Tom Jones for her 40th and it was amazing too - wouldn't be a Tom fan, but he puts on a brillian show |

Dexys Midnight Runners, Ulster Hall
The Smiths, Ulster Hall
UB40 (when they were the best reggae band in the world) Whitla Hall
The Specials, St George's Market
The Damned, McMordie Hall
Thin Lizzy, Kings Hall
Ash/Therapy, Ulster Hall
Those were the stand-outs,,,, unfortunately mostly from the 80's lol.....When I survey UB40's catalogue from 1984 odds on, I begin to cry.......

Carrickfergus |
Mine could be Joe Strummer in the limelight Belfast, or Manic Street Preachers in QUB coffee bar before they released their debut.
Or several punk bands, Down By Law, Steve Ignorant, Leatherface, SLF, Dropkick Murphys.... |

the one that stands out the most for me was Santogold (now Santigold) at the electric picnic a few years ago.
she was so good I thought she was miming and her performance, band and backing singers were effortlessly cool. |

Been to quite a few concerts over the years, but for sheer value and entertainment it has to be Oxegen for me!...
Although one of my BIGGEST regrets is turning down a Queen concert!
(many decades ago I might add)

Kiss. Manchester Apollo 1984.
Even if you don't like the music, nobody puts on a better show than kiss. No-one!
Bonjovi were the support act that day. They were still a rock band then not the pop rubbish they've turned into. |

" solo78: you saw Queensryche wow what album were they touring"
I think it was the Empire tour in '90. I actually met them in Seattle a few years ago. Nice fellas.
"Hal: For old times sake ill go with the numerous death metal gigs went to in mcgonagles, morbid angel, obituary, carcass et el
Stage diving and moshing til ur ears bled.they were the days"
I saw Slayer twice in '88 and '89... things one does for a boyfriend! It was actually really good though! They were amazing though!
"Wilder1: You see Dave lee Roth solo though? A great gig "
Unfortunately not, I'm sure he puts on quite the show. I saw Van Halen in the Sammy Hagar days. Must have been around '90

I used to be big time! I still love listening to rock but my music taste is much more varied nowadays from Pop, Rock to Indie. But rock concerts are by far the best! |

My tastes vary too but still deeply steeped in rock. Nothing quite like a rock show |

My first big concert was Bruce Springsteen in Slane....magical!
Lady Gaga comes a very close second.
Other good ones were Rod Stewart Bon Jovi The Eagles
Most disappointing was Bob Dylan ...because of his lack of interaction with the audience! |
