I'm currently with Vodafone At Home. At the time I signed up I got up to 8Mb broadband and a 300GB monthly allowance for €37 per month.

They currently have a plan for €35 a month for unlimited broadband and up to 100Mb if you're on a fibre network.

They block some torrent sites, but others get through. it suits me for my needs.

I'm with Vodafone too,

Use Torrents.....

While there are some sites that are blocked by a high court injunction, there are plenty of other places that you can 'Do your thing'

If it was me Vodafone beats sky. Sky so far have no date for fibre so I'd stay away from them and alleged to slow down in evenings big time on some exchanges.

I could be mistaken but as far as I understand both Vodafone and sky use eircom lines for their broadband. Contention is the problem for slow down I'd say. Op is referring to filters put in place by ISP on certain sites.

If worst comes to worst you can always try using TOR as it tends to bypass using tunnelling all the ISPs banned lists

Correct about contention eircom upgrade my exchange and no contention on eircom lines but still is on other networks I don't know why. Eircom guy says I'm now on 1/24 contention where as others are using 1/48 I believe.

Best maybe to ask neighbours what there broadband is like.
