Does anyone have an ipad?? Yay or nay??? Im torn as to get one or not. So many opinions. I have good phone and new laptop. Am I just bein greedy???

I have a samsung galaxy S4 and changed from an iPhone. Worst mistake of my life.. I HATE my S4. Gonna hold tough for the upgrade tho. But ipad im seriously contemplating. Hmm... |

Did you start off on android or apple??? It seems to be whatever people had first they seem to stick with.. I dislike the fact that there is such a little difference between say iphone4 and iphone 5. When I get a new phone I want it to look and feel like a new phone!!! Sad I know!!! |

I had a htc for years and then changed to the iPhone and have to say I way prefer the iOS system to android. The htc was a great phone but I love my iPhone and don't think I'd switch back! Think I'll save up and buy the iPad Air. Oh I love new things |

Android all the way. At least I can send a file by bluetooth to either of the three laptops in my house without having to have the exact same brand. I hate that shit that Apple insist on to make you buy other products from them.

Mr drives the teens nuts because he won't entertain apple, even though they have ipods(biggest waste of money ever) he won't have iTunes on any of the pcs. |

Thats exactly why i wont change to Iphone.. Android works so much easier with other products/files/mp3's etc |

Oh god lads... what a load of mixed opinions!!! Ye didnt make it any easier for me!!! I wouldnt be getting a samsung tablet anyways cause this phone is so bloody big its like a tablet on its own!!! |

It all depends on what using it for!
I started with androids but got an iPad for work. TBH do like the ease of using the iPad just for the usual searching, emails etc however once need it to do much in a work setup I get annoyed with its capabilities. Too far up their own arses with safety features blocking ability to do things androids allow without any fuss.  |

I'm an android lover but belle is an apple fan. I can't stand that apple wont let you drag and drop movies and music straight to the device and I have to use the nightmare that is itunes..and as for transferring files in Linux.. Arrrgh |

Mr here. I use a free programme called Copytrans, if you try it let it do an auto install as it needs the crApple drivers & it will get them itself on auto.
I do like the quality of ipads but not the control CrApple enforce on their products. |

I'm a mongrel, i've tried them all.
When I had a windows laptop I owned an ipad 2 and an iphone 4s. Then I got a macbook pro and work gave me an android phone and the overlap happened for a while and i carried both phones with me, ever though i'd only use for one.
I fell for my macbook HARD. I just fucking love it. It has never crashed. so much so the ipad gathered dust and i sold it. the iphone soon followed.....AND my android phone works fine with the mac.
With the release of windows 8 (and work just gave me a new windows 8 laptop, bleaugh) I dont think i could spend my own money on a windows pc again.
I will say this though, itunes is a PIG of a program on windows, but it's perfectly fine on mac, and you CAN drag and drop within itunes, provided its in your itunes library.
my opinion on android is that the versions you get on the brands (samsung, htc etc) are usually horrible, but the stock android on the nexus devices is lovely, it should be on every phone. |

sexy slut speaks the truth! nearly all the problems are to do with people not having an effing clue how to use the technology... it's a failure of our education system and a failure of the designers. Things were better back when all we had was MS DOS!

My dad has an iPad we got him 3 years ago. Tried plenty to update it. But now found out that iOS 7 is "not compatable" with that iPad. Amazing how 3 years just disappears, only feels like a year ago that the 4 of us shared most of the cost of that.
Found out that a new iPad needed, Talk about a con.
goodness I have a piece of electrical equipment that I've never needed to update in 25+ years, it's called a turntable (happy days).
No wonder "they" are raking it in.

I generally advise people to go with what they are used to:- If your phone is android, go for an android tablet. If you have an iphone, go for an ipad. That way you don't have to learn a new system, and your devices are compatable.
Personally, though, I prefer android! My Asus transformer rocks!  |
