As a non smoker I have to say those electric cigs are vile.
The smell of them and the taste of them from someone as you kiss..
Has there been any studies done on them? Are ya not worried that they may be as bad for you as smoking? |

I'm an avid anti-smoker and praise anyone giving up the filthy habit.
But like you linx, I've asked the sellers about research done on the long-term effects of these electric cigs - and basically there's been none. |

Of course there is none, they have only been on the market a few years so studies are only starting
Not all the liquids have nicotine Many are just fruit flavoured. Rather like smoking a bubble pipe. |

Well best of luck to the guinea pigs, usually things aren't allowed on the market UNTIL studies have been done for a few years! |

Which goes to show how addictive they are!!! Do not beat yourself up!!!
I used to smoke until 12 years ago, quit cold turkey have not touched one since, however I battled with my weight for years and it had me beat..... I ended up taking drastic measures, don't think I would be alive today otherwise!!!! |

Irish rail have banned electronic cigarettes on trains and stations.
What worries me is that cigarette companies have bought up the e cigarettes companies and it's obvious they are using them to market smoking itself. Cigarette companies are cynical creeps who will do anything to get kids addicted because that's how their business work.
When you sell a product designed to kill your customers you need lots of ideas to keep recruiting and they know if people start in their 20s they don't stick with it.
So is e cigs are just a marketing tool and i am amazed they can be sold so openly.
Fair dues to anyone who is kicking the habit. That takes guts |

I have done a considerable amount of research on e-cigarettes.
They contain at least 10 toxins including carcinogens, which everyone knows, can cause cancer.
Brazil and Uruguay have actually banned the sale of e-cigarettes.
In my opinion they should be treated as a tobacco product as there is a possible danger to the user, and others in close proximity (because toxins are released) so I believe they shouldn't be allowed be used in pubs etc.
However, taking nothing away from anyone giving up the fags..good job |
