Why does every thread on this site ( well most ) end up in a slagging match between users ?

Is there really any need for it, or can ppl not just say their piece without some form of forum bullying occurring ?

And why when u challenge someone about a specific post, you then get set upon by about by 'the pack'

Just asking.. but I probably know all the responses

Id never ever call it bullying i cant bullys but how i see it its us irish haven a laugh an a bit of banter is all people dont mean harm to anyone at all many times we get slagged off and we also give a slagging its just abit of harmless fun well enjoy your wank

a i think imo....that it isn't quite as bad as you make it sound.....and even when it dose seem a bit pack mentality .....there are always some you agree with the op.....not in that particular pack....so too speak

I just think that these forums and this site give some people a new identity. Probably far removed from who they are day to day. The forums give some people a door way to be bold. It's all very playground stuff though.

Fact... can be guilty of this when a thread is dead... or when it gets heated. Just to lighten up mood a small bit but with no badness.

Most threads get answered here. Heard someone earlier saying "hijack" the questions get answered and we all have light banter after.

I don't know , banter is usually funny , I've read some very dark passages of "banter" and we gotta remember forums are open discussions to express a view not to ram it down and keep ramming until people accept it,.personal insults can be felt despite so called personal banter and the animosity between certain posters shows up if you read through the forums.

And the click of the pack versus individuals is evident a lot as they go off post with silly group hug injokes

The most amusing thing about that thread was that it appeared that some people were saying one thing at one stage, and then later on they seemed to be agreeing with the complete opposite.

The great problem with the written word is that it can be hard enough to know what way a certain word or phrase was intended. "Fucking bitch" could've been a term of endearment?
