I got caught out before talking to what I thought was a couple and get the odd message still lol keeps it more discreet having just a username as a contact I think  |

there are apps to share your name on so random people can message you.
someone put my old kik name on one. was awful. but at least it wasn't my number  |

the problem is, many people use a different username on kik and I tend to forget who they are!
Every time I shut down my phone recent kik history is removed. Today I got a message from a guy I sort of remember chatted to a week ago, but I can't link him to his profile here. Now he's offended that I don't remember him  |

You can block new people from contacting you not sure if thats what your looking for. Think it means you have to contact them first but open to correction. |

Go to settings - notifications - ignore new people
Then don't be displaying your kik addy in public (I use a variation of my fab name). Just give it to those you want to chat to |
