Bold things you've done when you're a child

I just read this article and had to laugh (even though obviously it was very dangerous) because the child's excuse is just brilliant.

"The unnamed Norwegian boy from the town of Dokka, who we'll call Kevin McCallister due to his brazen nature, decided that he wanted to go visit his grandparents who lived 60km away from his home and set off with his 18-month-old sister just before 6am, getting 10km down the road before veering into a snowy ditch. After a snowplow found him and called the police, the boy came out with the most fantastic excuse of all time.

‘The boy told the snowplow driver that he was a dwarf and that he had forgotten his driver's licence at home.’ said a spokesman for the Vest Oppland police district."

What bold and/or stupid things did you do when you were a child?

Where I grew up we were outside a lot and also sometimes without much supervision. Often my older brother or sister were supposed to look after me, but as you can imagine they got often distracted.

So probably the most stupid thing I did was when I was 3 and my best friend and I decided to do something nice for my neighbours and clean their cars. With stones. Yep. We "cleaned" 3 cars with stones. Luckily the insurance covered the damage we caused!!!

When I was 8 my mam dropped me to my aunts house saying she would be back in a few hours (I didn't like this aunt or her kids who were my cousins)

6 days later and I'm still at my aunts house and because she is married to an Asian man we were eating Chinese all week..what felt like depression started setting in and hatred for my aunt and my mam for telling me a "few hours"

My aunt asked me would I like chipper food like a burger and chips I jumped at the chance and she handed me 20punt (old money)

On my way to the chipper I spotted a bus with city centre on it so I said fuck the chipper I'm going home

Onto the bus into the city and then onto the bigger bus that brought me the next 60km home..

First and last time I called my mother a bitch when I got in the door and my aunt is still looking for her 20 back all these years later

I always wonder why none of the bus drivers ever stopped me

Apparently me and my brothers locked our sister for five minutes in an old freezer, none of us remember doing this but she does.

fun4too, excellent story! Very daring and bold! I had an aunt like that and I hated staying at hers. She smokes like a chimney and has a voice like Patty and Selma from the Simpsons.

Knickersoaker, did they throw you in the Tower????

Never mind a childs antics i saw a few weeks ago a guy in a bookies watching a horse race hopping up and down in anticipation of his horse winning when the guy behind him saw his betting slip sticking out of his back pocket and promptly set fire to it...needless to say the horse won and i ran before the argument started.

When I was 10 me and my cousin decided we would move out of home the two of us emptied out money boxes took a bag of food and left on our bikes we headed off went about 7 or 8 miles up the mountains and found a old abandoned cottage. Being as it was cold we decided to light a fire in the fireplace. Having gotten a load of fire wood we had a great fire going but were unable to stop the sparks flyin within an hour the old wooden floor caught we ran went straight home never mentioned it to anyone
