the only people that know we are on this site,or indeed live the lifestyle is the people we have met through here or clubs.its nobody elses business what we do in our private lives,be that family,friends neighbours or whatever |

ive told a couple of friends but alot i would never tell, but also have a couple friends here for security, saying that nearly fell out with a male friend when i told him, was pretty judgemental about it all, and i didnt expect it, but agreed to disagree about the subject....my business at end of day....  |

That's it for safety reasons I would like to tell a close friend but would this person understand I don't think so; its a risk me saying it. I have been so close to tell this person but I just can't do.. |

A couple of my best mates know. That's all. They haven't been judgemental at all. Although I think if I was female they would worry. I probably would too. I think all the ladies here would agree, that they would be bombarded by arseholes when they join. The fear would be jumping in too quickly. Personally I'm very picky who I meet. A social meet in public after chatting I think is very well advised to gauge a persons personality.
I would encourage you to tell your friend. If they are truely your friend they will understand I think. If they are discouraging it is more than likely, it is through concern for your well being.

For ladies I think for security it's a must that someone knows but if you feel uncomfortable with a friend get someone off the site to look out for you |

That's a good point I may tell my friend outside fab oneday; really logically im still me so hopefully she will understand.
Until I pluck up b the courage its a good idea to have a fab friend know who your meeting when and where. |

My best friend abroad knows. Stopped telling my local friends what I'm doing as was too open and they couldn't deal with it lol. Like to have my own secret life. Unfortunately a text went out to my former neighbour about a foursome.....luckily I moved house... |

Maybe Fab could have a section like the Foreign & Commonwealth Office have for travellers abroad. When going on a meet. You register where you're going, what time and who you are planning to meet. Call it "Fab Locate" |

after reading on uk forums about a poor guy being left in a awful way after an attack at a party think everybody should be careful not just females, least when u organise a meet u have the security of telling someone where you are going with who ...but sadly these things can happen to anyone at anytime, how many people randomly pick up strangers on a saturday night and friends not having a clue....just keep your wits about you...and be safe!! |

Some of my friends know that I have sex with different people but not in detail and that I'm on this site. I told them that I'm on POF and sometimes it leads to sex. I don't think they could handle this.

Who's to know that some guy/girl has just found out their partner has been cheating on them....
Creates a profile, to get back at someone!...
Hence the reason why verifications (real meets) are so important!!
Another reason why I don't meet 'last minute' or with people who I haven't chatted with but they request a meet!!
Goes for 'blind' friend requests too!...

I can't speak for Ms. Slut but nobody I know knows what we're up to. Most of my friends would be quite liberal....and possibly curious about the lifestyle itself but would fake shock if I told them...as they would probably think it's the right reaction. They probably wouldn't judge me too harshly though.
My family on the other hand while quite open minded wouldn't be too impressed at my antics. They probably wouldn't cast me out though. |

We have not told any of our friends what we do. It's not that they would be judgemental or anything like that we just want it kept private dont think they would believe us anyway even if we told them lol. But I do think its important that everyone has somebody that they can confide in to who they are meeting and where be it somebody your friends with on the site or a close personal friend  |

Who, when and where I am meeting as well as when I expect to be away from the meet and a password. Sent by email
When I leave the meet I send a text saying I am safe and giving the password, which differs for each meet.
Not perfect but better than nowt!

I personally think for people that have friends on site or on your friends list if only there was a alert signal on your profile that stated you was meeting a new person that's friends on you're friends list could see your meeting if u don't logg in and remove the alert.
And let's be honest I mean friends that have ur number on site could actually give a quick call or text saying are u ok. But only this alert can be seen by friends only |

Who's the computer whizz here there's an app for u to develop "help me" an app where u can put phone no of a few friends in and if u need then u click on the app and it sends texts to them
not only use full for fab but general use as ur kids could hit u with a text if in need

Himself has told two of his best friends and they're very liberal, but I wouldn't want him to tell anymore for fear of them discussing us and it becoming widely known.

They always have to come first. And as a couple we have to do all we can to make sure our lifestyle is our lifestyle and NEVER gets in the way off our family life. Its ok i guess if ur single youve nothing to lose but married ppl with kids need to be extra carefull |

My hubby and best friend are on here which does help. I meet at my house because I feel secure and hubby is never far away. I have told a few friends and to be honest they have all been fine with it. One in particular is a Christian and very churchy and she was great about it. It is my business and I don't see why I should hide it unless the other person wants it that way. |

i havent told any of my friends im on this site but a few of them know i meet guys online and have no problem with it!im single,having safe sex and not harming anyone so i dont even think id be tht bothered if they found out!
