I'd imagine it could be because the emphasis has moved completely away from swinging, and more towards having a laugh. There's nothing wrong with having a laugh, but anyone who might like the idea of a debate on any sort of a serious topic probably isn't going to post it in the current climate. I'm happy to accept that I'm a part of the problem, and I'm afraid I don't know what the solution is. Something needs to happen though, as a lot of the actual swingers are just leaving, it seems |

have to agree i have being biting my lip to for the last week or so to let the serious threads take hold and see some debating start but seems its going to take a little longer for that to happen"

i havnt seen may on here who take the piss out of others,, there rare imo and nasty, most people imo take the piss out of the posts , and think=g people say, thus having a laugh and keepin it light too,,, the same people also give real advice in posts and help too,,,

I came onto this site to try and meet women, not just to have a laugh. Think people find if they put up a post looking for a good debate it gets turned into a slagging match or a joke fest , think people have some good topics to talk about and others have some very good information to give so maybe if the person feels there topic is going to be debated they might post it but as it stands now it just going to get put to one side while the jokes are posted. Just our taughts btw l |

Plenty of posts that dont get anywhere as a joke is the first reply and it just goes from there. Weve put up some posts and have had great debate with them . |

To be fair the last serious one I remember was a few weeks ago that didn't get shot down was one about new budget. Since then it has either been nonsensical stuff(I hold my hands up to partly keeping them going) or it's been nothing. I get what Michael etc are saying and think they are right. There is nothing wrong with a bit of debate, as long as the post i debated and not the poster, though also helps if their are no trolls about making it worse. |

For what it's worth I read the forums a lot and I rarely post as the same people post and seem to all know each other and have the same joke and laugh with each other that only they seem to get the "private jokes" and I don't get the private jokes. I'm all for people having a laugh but I feel like an outsider here as I'm sure others do too and I personally don't feel welcome to post without worrying if it will be ignored or ridiculed! Just saying  |

You're quite right Lollipop, it seems a lot of people don't understand how a conversation works. If you were trying to have a serious chat with someone face to face & they kept making smart remarks or changing the subject most people would get up & walk away. If you haven't got anything to add to a conversation then keep quiet & read, maybe you'll learn something.
If that is beyond you then go & start your own thread which I can happily ignore.

OK I just have to give my tuppence worth!
I agree with most of what has been said so far in that it’s the same topic every other day ie:kiss, fuck, etc which are fun the odd time but not every week. Serious forums are fewer and I have watched them being either highjacked and turned around to a totally different topic which tbh is not fair on the person who raised the original topic and I have also watched a topic being turned into a slagging match between a few people which does make me laugh as I mostly cannot see what the issue was in the first place to make someone cross lol. Everyone has opinions, it’s a fact of life, and if I don’t agree with someone else’s opinion I will generally just let it pass unless I have strong opinions on it. And if I do, and make a comment on the forums, it is not a personal attack on the other person if I disagree or challenge their opinion. Debates are good!!! It is healthy to have different opinions and in such a wide variety of people, of course there are going to be a variety of views. An example being I don’t swallow as its yuk......that doesn’t mean that a person who does swallow is a bad person...lol. I know I am maybe being a bit flippant but it is just a sex site folks....IT IS A SEX SITE.....IT IS NOT REAL LIFE!!! Sermon over folks

as someone who used to be very regular on the forum with my old profile I don't post that much anymore. Personally, I find that a lot of posts are hijacked by 2-3 people, which in some way excludes others and/or I get bored scrolling down to find where other people have added more relevant posts. And when I post something I find I'm mostly ignored as the 'frequent' forumers take over again and only add comments to each other's points lol
It used to be much more fun and I also find that frequent forumers used to be more helpful and patient towards new people.
Life can be difficult enough, no reason to not have a laugh in a virtual environment.
Basically, I feel left out lol

I agree, I get bored scrolling down through the threads to see if anything of value has been added.
Having said that, the guys and girls who do post regularly are funny and nice and I hope this doesn't turn into a nasty thread against the regular posters.

We all like a good debate, a laugh, a joke, some flirtation in the threads - and it is possible to have it all in the one thread as we certainly did up to a few weeks ago.
But for some reason the breed of forum contributors has changed and most of the threads have included a 'confrontational' tone which is just so unpleasant and an obvious deterrent to anyone new. |

As a once regular poster just a few things
most of us don't know each other outside fourms
over a period of time u get a feel for people i think this has being the case for most of the regular posters
as in all walks of life u get differing opinions on any subject i respect others opinion and have never set out to enforce mine on anybody (unlike some resent posts )
i never set out to bully any one on here or any place and would hate to think anyone was bullied by my posts
life is to short to argue over silly things live life have fun
if u have a topic to discuss post the fecking thing u may be surprised it doesn't need to hit 175replys to be closed for being to big it needs to get replys to help u out or fourm an opinion on the subject u choose to discuss
