I don't think looks come into it really. If you've built up enough of a rapport with someone to meet them, then I think it'll all be fine. If you start fretting about whether you look good enough or not, you'll lose confidence, and that is more likely to be a problem. It's too late for me to be thinking deeply. I'll have another look at this in the morning!  |

I am sometimes nervous before a meet too but in my case the nerves are more to do with my age n the fact i like to meet guys younger (in some cases a lot younger) than me. My body is in pretty good shape but it is 51 and not 21 so i wonder if the guys will be comparing me to younger fitter girls theyve met or worse still wake up in the morning and want to run!!
But my experience so far has been great. As someone said above when you have spent time building a rapport with someone and the chemistry n attraction is there those are more than enough to ensure a successful meet. So remember what it is that you like about this person and what it is that made you decide youd like to meet them cos i bet thats what they are remembering about you .... Have a fab time |

Some very good advice here, I would say I have definitely been put off meeting due to issues I have with how I look. I have pics up so that people can make an informed choice. I can't say I have gained confidence since joining fab though, if anything I think I am even more self-conscious than I used to be lol. Especially reading some of the comments people make on the forums and in chat. You just have to learn to grow a thick skin I guess! |
