I'm sure the last thing the Irish need is an Englishman like me butting in, but I just _anted to pass on my commiserations for ho_ poor Fab seems to be in the Emerald Isle. I thought the South West of England _as dire, but there's not a single compatible profile _ithin 20 miles of me today in West Cork, and I'm not that fussy!
Ho_ do you s_ing here? Why is it so lacklustre?

I have my o_n issues _ith perfidious Albion and her children. Largely based in history, some of _hich is generational hurt.
My initial reading of OPs post & use of language _as unfavourable and put my hackles up. I had thought of replying _ith barbs of my o_n.
Ho_ever... After re-reading and offering - _ith no small amount of difficulty - OP the benefit of the doubt, I'm choosing to read it as an attempt at tongue-in-cheek humour that's landed badly.
I _ould like to think that OP _as trying to convey a casual humour such as you might find _hen you're among friends. I'm choosing to believe that they didn't mean to come across as insulting of a community or condescending.
The choice of language may have backfired, but it may _ell be that they're a good egg & someone you'd other_ise sink a pint _ith. |

It's a snapshot. A moment in time. Within a 20 mile radius of _herever you _ere. On a school day.
I'm not sure you can judge the _hole island of Ireland and ho_ active the s_inging community is based on that one glimpse and the fact that at that moment in time there _as no-one compatible nearby for you to hook up _ith.
It's akin to me going into one shop in to_n looking for a red top and, because there's none in that shop that I like, deciding that clothes shopping in the _hole county is shite 🤷 |

I find it hard to get phone signal in West Cork !!
Your in a land very dissimilar to your o_n , there is rural and there is _est Cork rural , most houses a 20 miles apart !count yourself lucky if you got a hit.
