What’s the most interesting etiquette you’ve learned about (or from) swinging that really surprised you??

by a lake with my rod out

I was lucky the first couple I met on a different sitw gave be the best advice/etiquette. It was to treat the site/interactions like you would a pub. Basically no "wanna fuck messages" or flashing your cock.

somewhere

I was told " if you don't ask you don't get " at the very first party I went to

Totally surprised me as I never really discussed sex with anyone before

The need to lay down parameters before a meet...

Case in point: If a man meets a couple Is kissing, spanking, etc permissible? Is it okay to be filmed? So transparency and trust before lust is essential

The expectation of not overstaying one's welcome and kind of quickly parting ways once done.

We'd naturally be more into cuddles, small break, second round, [...] ultimately leading to breakfast together. But that seems to be an exception at best and a complete no-no at worst.

Call me old fashioned but cuddles, pillow chat, nibbles and breakfast can be a great finale to a memorable meet

Didn't really learn it (I assumed it originally) but someone isn't more inclined to interact with you if you over them sex or drugs.

I don't think this is a no no per se but it depends on lots of things including a build up of intimacy for me and a "relationship" that is more established maybe.....

But overnight stays on meets do seem to be an unexpected event on a meet. Personally I hate driving home late at night 😳

South

Lower one's expectation.

If it flows - it flows, if not walk away.

I was given advice from Cj here years ago.

*Do not take advice from Cj

Do not, under any circumstances, wipe your knob on the curtains when finished

The basic principle of swinging being an "attraction without attachment" type of arrangement, a variation of the panda principle is probably the most appropriate applicable etiquette.

Eats, shoots and leafs.

Comes, cums and goes.

One of my earlier swinging experiences was fun to begin with, but ended in disaster.

Lessons learned,

Never drink alcohol at a meet.

Always discuss consent and boundaries beforehand.

If it doesn't appeal to me, while I'm sober and not in a state of arousal, I am prepared to walk away.
