Get a barber to do a nice trim. Wash it seperately to your hair. Don't just bring the shampoo down from your head it deserves it's own  Get a good conditioner and leave it in for a bit before rinsing thoroughly. Try a few different styles and see what works for you. Beard oil should be used very sparingly. Most importantly - don't you dare shave or trim it to try and get a meet with someone who doesn't like beards. Plenty DO appreciate the enhanced levels of manliness that you now have  |

Yes mine needs to be regularly shampooed or the skin can get irritated, and can become dry if it's not conditioned. I guess it depends on your skin/hair type |

I dislike a barber cut on my beard and have tried loads of fancy hipster places. That's just me though. I like to do it myself.
I bought a good curved trimming scissors and have been maintaining my own for years now. It's nice to take the time for some proper grooming.
I particularly like growing it out and then cutting away loads. You get more confident as you go.
Beard oils are really expensive and not worth it imo unless you want a very particular scent. I bought a bottle of almond oil and a bottle of jojoba oil and I mix my own with whatever essential oil takes my fancy.
Many supermarket hair products have plastic like chemicals and sulphates in them that are not great for beard hair. Products made for curly hair are generally kinder to beards. |

Love to rock or more "suit" a beard,
I don't feel I suit it though,
I let it grow out for over 2 1/2 months, looked woeful 🙈 😂
Went to the Turkish barber to shape it, he did nothing more than I could at home, and still I didn't like it,
I trim and rock the stubble now from home now and much easier,
Beard shampoo then oil/balm it, some women love the beards 👍

Any recommendations for a beard shampoo that doesn't dry out skin?..i'm sick of massaging in moisturiser everyday. For Cork people, or anyone visiting, I found a great barber in Douglas..go heisiach do na fir...i spent a few years cutting beard myself but tried a few barbers until i found the place in douglas and i always go there now |

Bulldog has aloe in its shampoo or L'Oréal barbershop range also have a good one. |
