i travel all over

In the last week a couple of people have gone above and beyond to help me in my hour of need following the storm . They have asked for nothing in return .

Can you post examples of people just being really decent ?

sligo

Thankfully have come across plenty of people who have renewed my faith in people and I try to always be kind and help people out.

Have seen quite a few friends offering help this week and businesses at home offering help too.

Firm believer what comes around goes around.

If you can help anyone out - why not just do it. Have always done and a simple thank you works is enough for me

Hereandthere

In a world where you can be anything...be kind .

In my life l have met those that give & help everyday of their life , that's just the way they are & l would stand on my head for them in anyway l can & then you have the " hidden agendas " people ,those that only think of themselves all the time , best avoided if possible .

The West

When my first kid was born my partner and I moved out into the countryside to have cheaper rent and start our first business. We didn't know anyone and only had one car.

We met some neighbours from a few miles up the road and when they heard what we were doing they gave us a van.

A whole van.

Old and loud but it drove and it got us on the road for a year. One the kindest acts of generosity I've ever experienced.

Last Xmas was my first Xmas alone. 2 lady’s seen to it I was alright. One fab lady and a vanilla lady. The fab lady is the wonderful beautiful kindest lady on here known to us as Pinks who hosts the Dundalk socials. She went out of her way to check in with me a good few times. We were also attending the same HC’s social in Belfast and she invited me to join her and her wonderful husband Andy for pre drinks. Plus she bought me a gift also. One of my best fab friends

Next is my landlord. She sent over a dinner to me Xmas day and Boxing Day. She had a house full to feed but still went out of her way to make sure I’d a warm dinner on both days. Her dad was over the week before Xmas with bottles of wine to me also
