There's only going to be be more woman on these types of sites than men. Currently 67 ladies online and over 300 guys. But you'll see the same great lovely guys on Fab getting meets they've gone to socials they've made efforts for coffee socials drinks etc they've made effort with profiles and pictures and with messages. The ratio won't affect them as much as it will for the blank siloutte unverified profiles sending meet now and suck me off messages. |

This exactly! Its actually easy on here for single men. In reality, there are a number of men on here that get it!
They're social, attend events, have built up a network/friendships with lots of people over time. The ratio is irrelevant to them.
If your coming on with a blank profile, hoping that sending out hundreds of random messages will get you lucky, then the ratio is a really big deal, because your part of it and the cause of it. |

I think you'll probably find the ratio of truly single men to women to be much smaller than at first glance.
Also, the age-old saying about men wanting to spread their seed far and wide (in order to sire as many offspring and continue their lineage) is inherently true, as opposed to women finding that one strong male to give their offspring the best chance.
Some posters have already pointed out that the guys who make the effort with their profile and who go out and about to socials are the ones reaping the rewards and in reality the pool of good single guys is quite small.

The majority of men on here appearing as “single” men aren’t actually “single” men!
A lot are attached without partners/wives knowledge of them being on here.
Which is absolutely nothing to do with anybody but them and anyone they may meet.
We will all have our own opinions , let’s not go down that rabbit hole .
As somebody that organises events and also as a single female profile on here (XXlalaXX) I’d like to reach out the minority of the genuine single males that may be interested in getting more involved on the scene but are struggling to make headway on here because of all the other” single not single men “ .

I’m sure many of my single female friends on fab would be able to name a few male fab fish.
I absolutely hate the word ratio because of how it’s used in the context of fab . The ratio u may think it is via fab profiles I can assure the reality is different .

Why is the ratio wrong?
Where are all the bi women gone?
What happened to the genuine couples?
All 3 questions above or a variation on them, are regular threads across the forums. Some take off, some disappear quietly.
We may take the view that there's no smoke without fire, and rave towards finding out preferred solution.
Or we may just quietly carry on and find a way to work fab for ourselves.
It's not a life and death thing. So personaly I chose to ignore mostly these threads and respond positively.
The reality is fab is a reflection of society. With many views, backgrounds and beliefs.
Yes it's hard for some on here. But I suspect it's down to expectations being vastly different to reality.
I'm not Don Juan, so I don't expect to be treated like Don Juan here. And in a world where men largely are less subtle about playing around I don't expect the numbers of men to women to be any different.
Another way to view it's is take advantage of the contrasts. If you are genuine, you will stand out from the bull-shiters, no matter how vocal they are.

Not always true , it’s hard for nice guys to get meets too even if we’ll verified and aren’t socials , as lots don’t reply or instantly blocked after messaging.
So it’s fair to say woman can’t really say what it’s like for guys, violin plays

I'm not saying it's totally wrong but it is of its time and feminism has come a ways since the 60's.

Without dismissing the lived experience of women today I'd still argue it's dated.
The original theory oversimplifies women's struggles, painting them as passive victims dependent on men and pills. It ignores the agency women have and the progress they've made. Plus, it's a very narrow view, mostly focusing on white, middle-class women and overlooking the intersectional struggles of others. It needs a more nuanced understanding of the pressures women face today.

There is no bigger turn-off for me (mrs) than when guys see each other as competition. The most successful guys here treat each other with respect and just have fun. There is no room in swing for toxic masculinity so maybe those getting bogged down by the perceived ratio should rethink their attitude, or just leave. |
