Trying to put together a sober social ( no alcohol and not in a pub), maybe in Dublin. The idea is to cater for those who do not drink and want to have a social event. Depending on interest I will look for a venue and organise a time, maybe also provide an opportunity for non verified to pop in and get the much needed veris!! Let me know if this tickles your fancy so I can gauge whether it’s sort the effort 💪🏿 |

"Sounds like a good idea, not everyone drinks. "
is that not excluding those who may like to have a drink. at least is a pub all can be included and those who dont drink just dont. just a thought. |

A cafe style meet up or an activity is a great idea and not Party focused. I once did a Dander and Browse, met up in vintage and second hand shops, included a record shop and book shop. Happened to have an old fashioned sweetie shop and two sex shops in the same area. About 10 people had a laugh, bought the entire back catalogue of twilight books, had a titter over everything we found mildly suggestive and ended up with a full fry in a greasy spoon. |

I think you're missing the point here.
There's any amount of events taking place for those who enjoy a few drinks.

That’s a great thought, maybe a venue where there is no alcohol on sale is what I have in mind. So there is no temptation to sip a little 😀.
Also it’s a social so I am taking it for granted that there is no expectation to party!! The idea is to just hang out. |

Sometimes it's nice to socialise in a sober space, not just be sober amongst people drinking |

"A teetotal event would be great. I think an alternative evening out that doesn't revolve around alcohol would appeal to many. I'd be interested.
Wishing you every success OP 🍀"
Thank you Tinydelight and everyone else for the positive feedback.
I am going to speak to a venue I have in mind and see if I can get some dates for those interested!! |

In Belfast though? But yes I'll run one again probably late Feb. It was so relaxed and because we were busy nobody felt under a spotlight. Sometimes socials and meets can be a bit like an interview! |

Will keep an eye out for this wouldn't mind attending. I normally like a drink to calm my nerves, or to have something in my hand. But this would be a nice change. Attended my last social from another site without drinking recently, and it was grand, especially not having to worry about how to get home. |

Well I have now found a nice venue to try out the first sober curious social !!!
As suggested by many experienced Fabbers we are going to start small and test the waters.
Kindly DM me if you interested and I will respond accordingly. Looking for a small mixed group of people!! |
