have an "ex" coming on here to harass, giving out my photos, adding me to groups pretending I'm his Gf etc.
every time he gets booted he just creates another profile and it starts again.
Constantly happening on kik.
Obviously I could delete my profile and shit but why should I have to.
Why can't some men take no for an answer?
Any suggestions?
When i say "ex" we talked for a good few months, went on 1 date hahaha, slept together once..all about 2 years ago amd this crap has been happening since early mid 2023. |

New legislation passed in the form of the Harassment, Harmful Communications and Related Offences Act, 2020 has strengthened the law in this area and created new offences which carry penalties of up to 7 years imprisonment and unlimited fines for persons engaging in this behaviour.
It is now an offence to distribute, publish or threaten to publish or distribute an intimate image of another person without their consent with intent to cause harm to, or being reckless as to whether or not harm is caused to the other person.

I agree with the other posters. Go to the Guards. You shouldn't have to put up with that crap from a sad little nan who can't take no for an answer. Gives the rest of us a bad name. |

I de a friend that something like this happened to.
The guards went to his job and called him out for a chat - simple words said. It was the last time she heard from him as next time he would be handcuffs he was told.
No woman should have to tolerate this crap - there’s kind guards that are there to help |

That's full blown stalking, anyone that posts any kind of image of you on a public platform, that you have not given consent for can be prosecuted and absolutely should be. Don't let this dickhead intimidate you, take him to the cleaners, theres way 2 many psychological bullies out there that get away with this shit. Just so you're aware that if you go to your local station to make an official complaint they might ask to look at your phone and see all the information involved
I was told they needed to keep the phone until after any court case as a chain of evidence thing
So put everything on an old phone to show them |

Thanks everyone, I've thought about the whole reporting to the garda but i get anxious because I feel like this would be a "well you left yourself open to it" kind of situation because I'm on this site.
I hate feeling like this, I've already changed my mobile number, I had to move home to my folks house because the way he was going on and the things he was saying gave the sense that he'd be sitting outside or around the corner.

TBH reading this comment you need to get legal advice ASAP. The fact that you have had to change where you live because of his actions is very alarming. My advice would be don't delay as this is series, it sounds like this prick is enjoying stalking you, have him dealt with. |

Reading your update on the fact you've had to change your mobile number and even where you live because of safety concerns is absolutely shocking.
Please please take yourself to the garda station and ask to speak with a female guard if you feel that might leave you a little less uncomfortable.
Whilst I don't know you, I would be more than willing to offer you any moral support you may need.

Harrassment, stalking , and the other stuff is actually illegal and a criminal offence in real life and on line
Screen shot stuff , then report him..
Tell him to stop so he knows.

Huge admeration for you OP, it's the right thing to do. Theses animals, no other way to describe them, should get away with treating another human being like this! Have seen and experienced, personally and through friends, the damage and he'll this causes and leaves behind.
The guards will treat you with great compassion and dignity, times have changed for the better and please gawwwd others will see this and follow suit. Too many of these vile animals causing horrendous hardship and pain onto others.

Hi op I’m from north so slightly different laws. I had someone threatening to share my pics from an old profile on business facebook and family’s facebook. I was mortified going to police and there is a ruling up north that the threat needs to occur 3 times to register as harassment. However actually going to the police was enough of a threat at the time although the fear of it possibly reoccurring at any time is always there and it has changed my personality and how I behave on here. The police (female officer) in the first instance said I left myself vulnerable being on a public site with any type of pictures. |

Yeah, I hid my profile and changed a lot of stuff on here when it started happening,,, haven't had the guts to meet anyone since then either to be honest.
And see that's the response I don't want from the garda down here, I've been through the domestic violence side of things with my local guards over the last few years and it's horrendous to go through. This would just top it all off if I got that response. |
