Most public EV chargers are on the ESB app which is what I mainly use.

Google maps also has the function now to select ev mode and pretty good. Search ionity for the fastest chargers and avoid applegreen as they are always full. If on M1 there's one in stamullen and a good few on the way down south near the motorway.

Zapmap is what I use

Generally the bigger applegreen and circle k have the fast chargers and where I go

Have same concerns as you. Taking my ID4 to UK in a few weeks, heard nightmare stories about charging infrastructure over there

I am up North and infrastructure not bad. Most garages have the BP fast chargers.

The ESB app is the easiest and cheapest but you won't have a problem in the south compared to the North. Bucket load of chargers around the country bar some remote areas but I've never been caught in 200000klms. Planning will certainly get you out trouble

Yep another thumbs up for the ESB app.. although some chargers have their own apps you’ve to go through and download etc etc.. they should all be standardised that you can just tap with your phone/card

Plugshare - a community app which shows all chargers (regardless of operator). That is my go to app if planning trips off the beaten track.

Plugshare and abrp for your route planning then just see what chargers are nearby an grab their apps an check the reviews to make sure they are working. You won't have any problems finding chargers.
