A New Year's Eve celebratory type person or you prefer New Year's Day?

The West

Neither. I actually deliberately avoid both.

The solar new year makes more sense to me so I celebrate when the days start getting longer.

There and Here

Neither anymore really but "back in the day" it was always New Year's Eve.

It was a nice little earner for me too, piping in the new year. Played in 4 different pubs one year - they just kept putting the clocks back til I got to each one

ye. Where I live. A small enough town, a lot don’t stir New Years Eve at all but New Years Day would be busy.

Make sure you have a good sit on the toilet before midnight and then you won't carry the same shit into 2025!

Kinda. Just us and kids, maybe some neices added, for the last few years.

Actually going to a party this NYE and it feels like the Covid aura has finally fucked off as a result.

It's about time we got back to proper socialising like we used to

Happy New Year one and all

I’ll change the question will anyone be in bed asleep tonight before midnight and not into all that ringing in the new year?

Meath / Dublin / Birmingham

My NYE plans differ year on year really. I've never gone too mad for it, but I've always stayed up for it amongst some sort of company and will ring it in with a few scoops.

If I’m at home I’ll be in bed by midnight. If I’m at an event/party, that’s different but I’m not huge into New Year’s Eve and all that goes with it. I suppose other countries go bigger into it then us but I suppose the bigger cities here would be lively.

Definetely a New Years Eve kind of girl, full of traditions and so on... it is the time to let go of what hurt/annoy us the the most from 2024.
