No I'm not talking about the great swinging family from the south west

I'm talking about Mahon falls waterfall in the south west.(Comeraghs mountains

Have been told it's a very busy spot so don't want to drive the bones of two hours to find it packed with people and no parking(something I would do been a simple Simon)

Have been told if you get up there before 6am you should have it all to yourself and will be so quite you could here a needledrop.

But then at that hour it will be dark so my camera will be null and void, and would love some pics of the area for my camera page on instagram(my guilty amature pleasure)

I would even chance it over the holidays as I have a couple days off

Any advice on this area much appreciated

Cheers everyone

Mahon Falls is a popular visitor attraction but I doubt it is very busy at this time of year.

There is normally more than enough parking for the number of visitors even on busy summer weekends.

I have joined some other fabbers for a very enjoyable walking group meet there with a lovely lunch at the nearby cafe.

Plenty of parking, Xmas day, St Stephens day and New Years day are always busy enough but definately still parking availability

some where near

It's usually just you and the odd sheep up there this time of year

Sunday afternoon might be bit busy

I'd say during the week would be very quiet

Lovely spot up there for some outdoor fun but Jasus it would be baltic this time of year

Have lovely memory of a trip up there in a mini lol

That's a few yrs ago now lol

So what time of year was that trip. It must have been summer as in your own word " it would be baltic" in winter to be wearing a mini up there...👚

Beautiful as it is. Don't leave any valuables visible in your car. There have been numerous break ins to cars for a while now, so be aware of that
