Why do they give us so much enjoyment?

Because they feel so wrong but yet so right. It's like when someone tells you don't do something you wanna do it more

I believe it comes from that feeling of rebell we all have inside us and the devil on your shoulder so to speak winning for once

Nothing got to do with a feeling of unworthiness? A belief that you don't deserve happiness and need to self destruct rather than face some issue you're hiding from ?

That's possibly for counselling? I've just been through a 12 week programme of it (accessed through a charity) and found it very helpful and would recommend it any day.

I'm living my best life, and yes its unlikely I'd tell my parents for fear of their judgement, but other than that I've got nothing to be ashamed of.

So it's not a guilty pleasure more a good wholesome, consented and negotiated fun.

Naas which is South West of Dublin

I’d need a more precise definition of the term “guilty pleasure” to form an opinion.

What makes it “guilty” in particular.
