I used to collect match boxes in my teens
Not just maguire and Patterson
I mean from all over the world
I worked in pubs as a lounge boy and got customers to bring them back from their holidays
Got rid of them when I moved into my first house ....had thousands of them
Anyone else |

I still have a small collection in my parents' place of foreign currency and callcards from when I was a kid/in my teens. Also have loads of tickets from gigs and sports events from that time.
The very odd time nowadays I've started to pick up cool looking beer mats when I'm out... |

In my teens it was 12" vinyl singles
In my early twenties, beer mats and alcohol miniatures
From about 2010 until recently, I collected antique and vintage china and kitchenalia but disposed of it all just after COVID. I collected other bits of kitsch too but I'm in the process of getting rid of that too.
Now it appears I collect cats |

"Football boots. Had close to 100 pairs. Lots of special edition ones
Were they worth money "
Some I paid around €300 for. This was back in the early 2000s. Ended up giving them to a local club to give to younger players that couldn't afford boots. Kept the really limited ones. Have one pair that only 500 pairs were made |

Part of our house used to be a small village shop and the old wooden shelves and counter is still there. I collect old vintage food packaging and tins that I keep on the shelves. Also 1960s and 1970s metamec clocks |

Yeah I’m a fiend/nerd for collections. Way back in the day it used to be telephone call cards and CDs. These days it’s records, restaurant cards, 4K Blu Ray films and fridge magnets. I’m always interested to hear of other peoples collections too, the more random the better. |
