Totally get it but someone like me who works all the parties and stuff I don’t get to celebrate until next week or Jan so some have to be early
Also I think there is just so much to do now trying to fit it all in |

WAAAAAAAAAY too early
Christmas is uber commercialised, it's not even jolly any more.
As a person who spent 16 years in hospitality and retail I have ptsd from having to listen to Christmas music 16-18h a day for 2 months every year and looking at different variations of tinsel.

Yes, Xmas is bitter sweet for many, many people. Forced joviality can be tiring on people.
Currently in the canaries, and v little Xmas crap around the place. Perfecto. |

I think since Covid myself and my two little girls celebrate everything a little more than we used to. Once the kids are grown I guess it won’t be the same so for the moment I’m just rolling with it and the tree is going up next weekend |

Each to their own. Thankfully we never went mad at xnas. Even as kids my parents never did a big thing for Xmas. It always amazes me when I see people shopping like the shop will close for a month
I was away last year and it was lovely. This year will b a quiet affair as usual.
But I would decorate all year around if I could. |
