Have many people hidden their profile to have a break from fab or have they just deleted the whole thing?
I've mine hidden for the moment, probably until the new year.
Main reasons are, coming up to Xmas, focusing on family and not wanting to be out in the cold and dark!
Still here for the forums and chats with people I messaged before.
I was given the advice to hide the profile and not delete it, but which do people find better? Hide or delete? |

Yeah, that's my thinking currently...
But you see lots of profiles that are new of people who have been here before and left. Seems weird to me to delete but was wondering what other people thought |

This is my 4th profile so I've deleted 3 times before.
I had 30+ verifications on my last profile and decided to step back because I was dragged into someone else's drama that had nothing to do with me.
I hid that profile and didn't log in for a year.
When I came back in 2019 I decided to start afresh and logged in long enough to delete that profile.
I created this one straight after and have been here ever since but have never felt the need to hide it. |

We generally don't hide it. If one of us isn't meeting new people or on fab the other one might be. Wr would just put that on the status. Not that people read that

Don't hide very often but I do sometimes, it's like a mental switch, its not like I'd be coming back to a million messages if I didn't but I do think it just gives a clear message, not interested today!! So when I come across others that have hidden even with good fab friends I just leave em be. |

I hid my profile for a few weeks at Christmas last year to give myself a break.....and also to give a break to those on fab that I had pissed off on the forums.
I also cleared my block list by way of seasonal amnesty.
Came back in January renewed and reinvigorated and have had an active and interesting fab year.
I definitely recommend a profile hide/fab cleanse.
Good for mind and mood.

Have done both over the years and for different reasons .If ypu know you're just stepping back for a while until after the holidays then we'd advise just hiding your profile.As said above its easier to return without then having to set up a new profile |

If your profile is hidden, do people still appear on your 'Looked @ me'? even if they can't actually see your page? |

I don’t bother hiding me profile, if I don’t feel like it I just don’t bother logging in, hiding my profile wouldn’t reduce the amount of time I spend here, although I do appreciate why some people would hide theirs.
I may not be here for a while, I might log in for 30 seconds and be gone again, I’m very moody…….
I think if I delete my profile I’d be gone, it’s taken me years to cultivate this ridiculous profile, I’ll hang on to it while I’m here I think…….🥸 |

It doesn’t matter to me if a person or couple want to go private or anything else it’s their choice at the end of the day not anyone’s business what they do they mite not feel like going anywhere or further with a meet or a text it 100%up to them |

We’ve had single profiles before which we deleted a while back now as we decided we’re no longer meeting up separately
We do occasionally hide our profile, usually when real world needs our full attention and we need a fab break. Other times we just won’t log in for a while. It’s been an unexpectedly busy year for us but maybe it’ll slow down next year and we’ll get back into the “swing” of things 🤭

I deleted the first one as I wasn't sure the site was for me as it was totally outside my comfort zone and the number of messages overwhelming as I felt it was manners to reply to them all 😂🤣.
Closed 2nd profile for a couple years. when I met a special someone.
The next one I couldn't remember the login details when I had been away for a few months and had closed the Fab email account so couldn't sign in at all.
The next one I closed as I just decided my Fab time was at an end.😒
Now I have this profile which I just hide when I'm busy or bored.

I hid my profile last week because I considered leaving fab.
Even put up a 'Good luck everyone. Bye" on my update.
So I said fuck it, I'm not going to leave.
I said I'd try again.

Im currently hidden atm while I have a break and I hide mine regularly...
Or put up all my filters...
I just need to be able to switch off at times....
But I always pop in every so often to catch up on Events or messages from Friends x
Think when I've had enough, I'll delete my profile....

I would say hide, at least all your information is there if you decide to come back. I know a few who do it,but still chat away through messages. So even though it's hidden from everyone, you can stay in touch with friends on here. Happy Christmas......or is it to early |

IV been on here the past 14 years and to be honest iv deleted my account twice with intention never comming back and ended up starting from scratch again and made it harder for myself Comming back.nect time il not deleted just hide as I will be back.its too addictive here not to come back |

I’m here maybe 12 years, deleted once and never intended coming back, but eventually did as we all do. I’m glad I deleted at the time as there was no temptation to log in and have a look. Now a days I hide my profile, sometimes for afew days and other times a few weeks or months. The only difference is when my profile is hidden I still log in daily to reply to emails and have the chats, when it’s deleted, fab is no longer a part of my life |
