I think it's reasonable to be allowed to sleep in normal hours of darkness. When you wake up someone posting 'you there guys?' because I didn't reply straight away to their message also 7 hours ago (so therefore after I'd gone to sleep) it's not warming me to them and much reduces a chance of meeting or play.

How to you handle double messaging? Do you still proceed with the conversation or cut or block.

Dont reply tbh. Depends on my mood.

I got a 'ok no problem' reply yest when I left an 11hr gap betweem his last msg & my lack of response to it.

I mean, read between the lines 😕

I don’t mind receiving double messaging unless it’s the one you’ve described OP.

Start a new topic cos maybe the previous one just naturally ended. Add to the previous conversation…all that’s grand.

Sometimes I’ll genuinely get distracted and forget to reply. But asking for a reply, not my cup of tea. That’d make me not reply.

We’re not big constant messaging people and we’ve real world life to live too so if someone is looking for that we know we won’t be what they need/want - Mrs

In most cases I don't mind it but I agree the "are you there" question is a red flag. What I hate is insistent men who message every week even when I said I'm not interested

I block them. It gives me an ick. Especially the “I guess not” ones, or the “can you tell me the issue” ones. If they are like that and you haven’t even messaged back imagine the stalker vibes if you met them socially or even fucked- just a nope from me!

How is messaging you not allowing you to sleep though?

I think sometimes people over react a bit to people who are a little too eager.

I get it might put you off, but just block and move on.

I may be the outlier here, but I really like unprompted unsolicited double D messages!

As for the OP’s issue, it would really depend on what has come before in the chat. It the convo had ebbed and flowed with good varied chat then I can’t see why it would be a problem. Just my two cents

Not really a good flow anyway. He'd attempted to skip the social already and also expected us to meet without any attempt to get to know us.

Ya know when you are just fuck hole to someone.

Ah no I've done it myself. Meant to say x, got distracted by y. Added it after.

But still it's an engaging conversation with a natural flow where both parties are attempting to get a handle on each other with a view to seeing if we are a good match.

I know there are bigger problems in the world, especially right now. It was the entitlement of the guy that pissed me off in the moment. He didn't keep me awake, but waking up to that wasn't a good start to the day.

I do think if single people get one nugget of info from this thread, is please don't double message especially if the second message is to complain that they haven't received a reply to their last message. I'm not on here 24 hours.

We almost never reply instantly, particularly to first messages. First because only one of us might have read the message, and then because we prefer to take time and think about it before replying. We're not here to rush.

If that's a red flag for the other party, fair enough. We simply weren't meant for each other.

The bar is quite low so a lot of people could really help themselves by showing a little bit of respect and patience.

Fair enough, cliche to say but, he did you a favor by outing himself quicker so!

The guy who got pushy put up a status update naming us and complaining that we were up for a meet one minute then blocked the next. I'd just like to say that there was a reason he got blocked.

He was a hopeful until he got entitled. Then he screwed it up for himself.

No naming done, and I hope a point of education for those tempted to be pushy in their interactions.

Regardless it's still a breach of site rules.

Hopefully it can be a point of education for future posts

I have self reported to mods so the thread should be removed now.
