Three years ago I was still quite new to Fab and heading for my first big Social, the Rvc November one.
I suffer a bit with social anxiety, so this was a big deal for me. It was made so much easier when a few regulars took me under their wing. NSA
So if you're going for the first time, come on the thread, introduce yourself, ask questions. Or dm me or any regulars who might offer their help below....
Regulars, say hi if you're attending.
And sadly I have to mention, if you're pretending to be going don't pull a fast one here for attention, as its very easy to check with the organisers. |

Great idea Lolly. This is my 3rd time going..I still remember the overwhelming deer in headlights first time. I'm going solo..so feel free to say hi..go with the intention of no expectations... and remember your dancing shoes..😀 |

Been forever since I went to any meets..... I stay on here because I like remembering when I was more swing active.
RVC was by far one of the reasons why......
So if your new, nervous or just wondering what to expect.... Remember...your there to meet people, that the start and all that anyone expects you to do.... Just say hello to start.
If you feel the urge to go a step further, or just see what swinging is about without actually going to bat.... 99% of the people here will chat, have fun, make you feel great and are just not great people who like to touch, kiss, lick and much more, but most of all,meet you.
You don't have to join in, unless you get the urge.
You don't have to get naked, unless you get the go in ya.
Either way, you'll learn stuff, get turned on and be welcomed by some wood the mad...ish. and lovely people you can meet.
One day I'll join you again.
Top tip, be yourself and don't worry, we all have faults and talents, be glass half full, the night will be way better that way. |

A few tips
Arrive a but earlier. Help you find a seat and a place to mingle. Remember you may have both non rvc and rvc ppl there. So act normal not hello fancy a rideeeee.
Nerves leads to ppl getting blotto. Try and avoid it. You'll ruin your night and maybe others too. Pace your drinking..it's a long night.
If you're on your own, remember there are lots of others too in the same situation. Just say hi.
If you're feeling alone, head to the dance floor... it's usually packed.
Dress in what you're happy in. Remember though, the venue is a public place..would you wear that in public...
Come with no expectations other than meeting new people and having fun. It's not a rideathon. Remember staff there are not employed to see a sex show so leave the saucy stuff to behind closed doors. It's a social event..not a play party be respectful.

Hey Lolly great idea and I'm lucky enough to be attending my 3rd rvc social and looking forward to catching with with some old friends and hopefully making a couple of new friends along the way  but it's always an amazing night and in my opinion just treat it like any other Saturday night out |

I think I was told between 200 to 300 people
Not sure though but 200 would be my easy guess |

LD don’t let that scare you as the last time I went I think I managed about 20 new connections as the night flies in and it really is just like the greatest fun social party with little pockets of people just reaching out to say hello and introduce themselves. It’s a great night with great people. xx

The actual part of the venue where the social is held will be swingers only. There is door staff making sure only people who bought a ticket can get in.
And there is no dress down or play at this.
What people do in their own time in hotel rooms of course is up to them.
There is normally pre drinks in the public part of the venue and word will spread with directions as in to where to go for private part of the venue, when it's opening time. |

Limerick is one of our favorite socials don't go expecting anything and you won't be disappointed I had a guy at a different social ask me when the riding starts I got whiplash I moved away from him so fast  |

Having been to many rvc nights and nearly not goin to this one till the last min fomo kicked in. Let me say I still get nervous i be rattling like a junkie and there's no need to be at all. every one is so lovely and it's always a great night |

This is my second Rvc and so looking forward to it. Went to my first one in 2019 by myself with a few nerves but everyone was just so relaxed nice, pre drinks in the bar and chatted away before we hit the dance floor for the night at the main event. |

Been to a good few socials over the years and there great.
Especially for the newbies that do pluck up the courage to attend for the first time .
Have met the most genuine people in the last couple of years at these events and everyone makes everyone feel at ease and relaxed
And always a good laugh and banter

Regular RVC goer here, just after getting last minute tickets . For all
the newbies don't be shy . Mingle and mix with everyone. We have all being there and still going to be at times. Just relax. Enjoy the music and a little drink , not too much now 😉 . I'll be the fella with the 🤠Hat pop over and say Hi any time . But most importantly enjoy yer nite and remember its a social 🫡 |

Any newbies, who are nervous:
We've all been in your shoes. Every single one of us, it's okay to be nervous.
My best advice is - if the nerves are overwhelming, only commit for an hour or for one drink. Nobody will hold you hostage if you're not feeling the vibe and want to leave after that hour.
At least you showed up and now you've seen it ❤️ |

Awaaah jesus as if I haven't enough FOMO, I see this post.RVC is such a brilliant night, and a full weekend is even better.
Just watch out for the mad loons doing knick knacks on bedroom doors,I could name and shame but I will be kinda Unfortunately work calls so can't make it this time.
I'm going off now to cry into my pillow lol |
