Winter months in Ireland are tough. I've been considering moving abroad for a few years now. Love to hear ppl opinions. Not really wanting to move there permanently. Luckily my job allows me to work remotely part time..
Buy or rent. Renovations. Location.
Any regrets by ppl. Thoughts.
Thank you.

tenerifes hot all year round pretty much but 4 hour flight , no big deal, if you shop around youll rent 400 euros a month and less...south tenerife that is .
never buy abroad , no point , keep money in bank and rent..
double check internet, before you rent if your working from home.
i'll come if you like , cant stand winter/christmas
ive holidayed in tenerife in december for 25 years
no point going abroad in the summer when the weathers ok here so i save my holidays and spend december in tenerifes suny climate
costa adeje
playa las americas
los cristianos
there all close by , can walk to each along the promenade |

I wish I were you and in a position to work remotely a la digital nomad! If it's sun you want, then Canaries for sure. Mix of sun and culture - you could do worse than rent in Seville or Malaga too tho. Within easy reach of home also.
Malta or Sicily are other possibilities. |

I’ve in Spain for nearly five years in a small village called Casares. About half an hour from Marbella up In the hills and away from the crowds. I know plenty of nice spots near there. Drop me a line if you’d like a few tips. |

Gonna try some winter sun this year in the canaries . Have considered and lived in Sydney (too far , wasn’t a big fan of the politics ). Have considered bits of the US (not a fan of the politics ). Malaga seems nice because it has a vibe and a culture which islands with better winter sun don’t. I must say though despite the weather it’s hard to beat Galway |

"There may be some nice monastery properties coming on the market in Spain now that some of "The Monks" are likely to be moving into more secure, state provided, accommodation.

I visit Portugal on business a few times a year and then always head down to the southern tip of Portugal near Sagres.
I take the ferry from Rosslare and bring my stealth camper with me.
I am in the process of buying a proper full size camper for spending the winters months in southern Portugal and Spain.
I work remotely. |

I'll be goggling.. I've been to the canaries a lot for winter sun but l think a more authentic place would suit me better. |

Love Tavira, nice spot with good restaurants. Stopped beside the Roman bridge in a lovely airbnb |
